Hunts

There are so many hunts in Second Life TM they are listed by month, click the month you want, then on the hunt name that you want. More than one person compiles these, and many people contribute to the prize location information.

Information on hunts in general

Links to Second Life called slurls are given in the hunt information pages, you can click them to directly teleport to a location or copy and paste it into local chat.

A slurl that is directly after a prize name or number is the exact prize location. These will be listed if possible, however hunts organizers can move prizes at any time so the location can change. Please bear this in mind when hunting. Locations will be updated for current hunts when time allows.

A grid wide hunt means that prizes can be anywhere across the whole of SL. Usually landmarks or hints are given so you can find the next prize in the list.

Sim wide hunts cover the whole of the island that they are on. These can be very difficult as there is so much space to cover when you are hunting.

Mall wide hunt means the prizes are inside that particular mall.

Store wide is just for that store alone.

Most hunts have a beginning point, those that don't are called circular hunts. You can start with any prize and continue.

Some hunts need you to wear a HUD and collect items, or need you to collect items then convert them into a prize at the end.

Always read any instructions you are given before starting, and beware of paying for items by mistake when hunting and clicking.

Cheating is usually not allowed when hunting. People can cheat by using an item locator worn as an attachment, which searches the area for a keyword like prize. Telling friends where to find an item is generally considered helping and not cheating, but making a list of all the locations (cheat sheet) and telling many people is frowned upon. Beware of openly using locators or cheat sheets, a store or sim owner can ban you easily.
